Peter Prior was interviewed by the Maidenhead Advertiser this week about the bold proposals to relocate Furze Platt school onto Summerleaze land at Spencers Farm. In a wide ranging interview, he gave the background to the idea and listed many of the benefits of the proposal to the community at large. The current proposal is with RBWM for consideration in their development of the Borough Local Plan, Peter is confident that it will be given a fair and positive hearing and that following the inclusion in the Plan planning permission for the development will swiftly follow, enabling the school to to be completed and handed over for the beginning of Autumn term 2015.
